Hazing Prevention and Response
The Office of Education and Prevention Programs oversees and coordinates hazing education and prevention efforts.
Multiple departments within Longwood University collaborate closely on the prevention of and response to hazing:
Athletics supports prevention efforts within intercollegiate athletics and responds to concerns about hazing by athletes
Conduct and Integrity follow up on concerns raised about hazing and has procedures for processing hazing allegations
Counseling and Psychological Services and the Health Center provides medical care, mental health services and wellness resources for all Longwood students
Fraternity and Sorority Life coordinates hazing prevention and education efforts with social and independent Greek fraternities and sororities throughout the year
Longwood University Police Department (LUPD) provides essential law enforcement, public safety, and related services to the campus community while utilizing the most up to date, efficient and effective methods available, maintaining established professional standards, and optimizing community support.

Hazing Violations Transparency and Information Sharing
In the interest of transparency and information sharing for prospective members of student organizations, information is made available by the Longwood University Office of Student Conduct and Integrity regarding violations of Hazing regulations for organizations that have been charged through the Conduct process.
