Graduate Course Credit Options

SLIB595: Literacy for All will be offered in conjunction with the Summer Literacy Institute.

Literacy for All will provide students the opportunity to explore the broad concept of literacy, strategies for fostering reading and literacy, and the power of both the universal and individual story. Course content will include the work of Institute-featured authors Jarred Amato, Sylvia Liu, and John Schu.

This hybrid course will run from June 14 - August 9. Work will be completed online.

Attendance at the July 24-25, 2025 Summer Literacy Institute is required.

Registration and Costs

Participants will need to register and pay Longwood’s graduate-level tuition and fees for this three-credit course, in addition to registering for and attending the Summer Literacy Institute.
