Appointments with the Career Success team are available for current students and alumni of Longwood. We offer assistance on a variety of fronts and are ready to help!

During the academic year, we schedule appointments between 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. Off-hour appointments may be scheduled on a case-by-case basis with individual Career Coaches. 

The Center for Career Success offers several appointment types and tutorials on using important tools like Handshake, LinkedIn and leveraging your Longwood Network.

Visit the Career Closet 

Visit the Longwood Career Closet for a range of new and gently used business attire to help you prepare for career fairs, networking events, and professional presentations. Browse the selection, get outfit advice, and try on clothes in a private fitting room—students can take up to five items per semester, free to keep.

Asynchronous Resume/Cover Letter Review 

Get asynchronous feedback on your resume/cover letter without scheduling an in-person or virtual appointment. Just upload your documents through Handshake, and our coaches will review them, providing suggestions within one business day of your appointment block.

Students

Students can schedule appointments with a Career Coach at Longwood’s Center for Career Success through the Handshake platform. To sign in, use your LancerNet ID and password.

Important: For first-time users, you will need to complete a brief activation process, which takes 5 minutes or less. This process includes answering a few questions to help customize the platform’s content for you.

Once your account is activated, you will have access to Handshake as long as you are enrolled at Longwood or are an alumnus with an active Longwood email address.
